There was no hot water in my room. I was not able to take a shower. the hotel should have addressed this before i arrived.

Adequate stay at location

coffee machineefficient staffconvenient locationparking feeground floorlimited view
The location was very convenient with easy access to the market. The staff members were friendly and efficient. My room had a coffee machine with pods, a nice touch. I also appreciated having a thermostat to control the room temperature.
The room I booked was advertised with fine waterfront views. This was not my experience as my room was on the ground floor. Pedestrians could easily see into the room since the curtains did not fully close (I found this quite concerning). The parking fee was an unexpected charge.

Really good Experience

hard working front deskreally good foodconvenient location
The front desk worked very hard. The food was really good. The location is faster to the airport than other downtown adjacent hotels.
I have never stayed in a hotel where one has to lean across the loo to reach the sink. This is unhygienic! I peeked into the room next door when Housekeeping were cleaning it, only to see that their bathroom was way more spacious.

Really good location and spacious rooms

walkable areacreek viewgreat showerisland atmosphere
I found the location allowed me to easily walk throughout Granville Island right from the hotel. The room looked toward Science World, an interesting view. The water pressure in the shower was noteworthy. The hotel definitely fits well with the island's overall atmosphere.
I noticed that some areas, especially the carpets and furniture, seemed a bit worn, suggesting a need for some updates. The place was still clean overall, I have to say.

The hotel is located slightly removed from the city's bustle. It provides full access to Granville Island right outside. The hotel offers convenient access to interesting shops.

satisfactory stay

quiet roombolster pillowtiny roomoutdated controls
I was so happy we got a room close to the market! room 328 was nice. It was super quiet, and we saw the water facing science world. i got to fill my cooler with ice from the machine. that was pretty rad, the room included a coffee machine with pods. it had nice low light incandescent bulbs. i loved there were eight pillows. the bolster pillow is awesome for your neck!
the rooms was tiny for the price, it's true. the balconies on the 3rd floor were real small and parking? tricky. they did have ac and heat, but the controls were on the unit itself, not on the wall. seemed kinda old-school to me.
